Ancestors Dream

Happy Easter! On this special day, we celebrate Jesus being sacrificed on the cross for our sins to be forgiven past, present, and future. With this beautiful blessing God has given us it makes me think with every day that God wakes us up we have a chance to start fresh. All we have to do is wake up and God has us in his hands. Yesterday has passed and through God sacrificing his son we have the opportunity to wake up with a clean slate with continuous blessings from God. Every day we have the opportunity to start a new path in our life to do what makes us happy to try something new and to fulfill the dreams God has placed on our life. We are here on behalf of God's vision and plan for us and through the strength of our ancestors we have come such a long way and our existence isn’t here in vain.

We stand on the backs of our ancestors who were stripped from their homes brought to a foreign country, enslaved, and segregated with inequality. Throughout and despite all of the oppressors that didn't want us to overcome and succeed, our ancestors fought for us, advocated for us, and died for us to live the lives and have the opportunities that they likely will never get to experience in their lifetime. They walked and ran so we could fly. Don’t waste it. Every day we are living in Martins's dream and because of his dream and other civil rights activists’ efforts, actions, and God's grace and blessings, use this chance to be your ancestor's wildest dream and use the fresh start God gives you every day to decide who you want to be, decide how you want to be happy and an opportunity to be thankful for another day of blessings.
